Life is Worth Living. Love is Necessary.

A Prayer for those headed to CIY MOVE Oregon 2011

I pray as we send these young men and women that they will grow closer to Christ. I pray that they have a safe trip as they journey from Parkland, Washington to Corvallis, Oregon. As God has used CIY MOVE before, I pray that all who are there are changed by the Holy Spirit which surrounds them. I pray for those that are shy or weary, that they would be filled with boldness and would express their love for Christ. I thank God for the wonderful gift that Move was to me and that all of these students are able to be surrounded by His word and spirit. For those who can’t make it to CIY, I pray that God would work his way through their lives this next week and those that follow. I pray that the messages that are taught not only change those that are listening while they are there, but instead would light a fire inside them that can’t be extinguished. Let the leaders and staff enjoy the experience and grow themselves in their walk. Let every message be heard with open ears and open minds. In your name I pray, Amen.

Never let the people of this world get you down, those who truly care about you sees you the same way that God made you, a beautiful and wondrous piece of art. Those who speak otherwise see you through the broken eyes of this world.

Anytime you’re feeling low… Put on your headphones!

Well now… It’s been ages since I’ve been on here…

So I had totally forgot all about tumblr but with the recent chance to get to hang out with some really important friends of mine, I was persuaded (aka peer pressured) to get back on to this website. So I guess this means you are probably looking for some detailed explanation as to why I was away or what I’ve been up to… (are posts on facebook and twitter not enough? oh wait i’m not good at that either) All joking aside, I was very happy to listen to my friends advice and I really want to blog about the changes taking place in my life and help support my friends… so here we go.

Rescued

So, at about 2:30, William Ishoy calls me letting me know that a roof worker has been injured at our neighbors. So I run over to see this guy who’s leg is crushed in between the rungs of a collapsible ladder that slid on the gravel. Finally a use for the first aid skills from boy scouts. What an adrenaline rush. We rescued him and helped clean and bandage a huge gouge in his leg and his coworker took him to the hospital. Defiantly broke his ankle. Cause of all the problems… Incompetence. If your gonna work on a roof, learn how to safely use a ladder.
